Community Covid 19 Quilt.    https://youtu.be/L3G3961Ohuo

The artists at Artdogs Studio collaborated with the artists of Circling the Square Fine Art Press to create a community wheatpaste mural for the City of Gardiner. A community quilt was created by 22 artists from these studio along with some invited artists. Artistic Director Karen Adrienne chose the quilt format because quilts have been made in the US since the 17th c. to stitch small individual pieces together to tell a bigger story. Small individual pieces were put together to make an item of protection, warmth, insulation, and beauty. Of course quilts have been made globally for many centuries before this. So, not a new idea! The fact that quilt making was an old idea used over centuries and throughout the world is what resonated and inspired the project.
