Good neighbors make art together. Artdogs Studio artists and the Gardiner Food

Co-op team up for the Ninth Annual Variations Exhibit. Artist and Gallery director

Karen Adrienne said” The artists and the process of this exhibit vary from year to year.

Each year has been an exciting and a wonderful look into the individual artist’s work

here at Artdogs. This year was an especially exciting one because we were getting to

know our new neighbors at the Gardiner Food Co-op. I was very excited about

partnering with them and the chance to showcase them with the talents of the Artdogs

Studio artists”. Six employees of the year old Gardiner Food Co-op each gave six

“prompts” to the six artists of Artdogs Studio as inspiration for the work created for this

years’ group exhibit.

Gardiner Food Co-op General Manager Shawn Menard said “I chose foods that are

simple yet have a deep food history and are recognized by many cultures. Much of our

diets are based around these items and the food legacy they carry”. This years’

participants are Shawn Menard who is paired with artist Scott King, Karen Benner who is

paired with artist Kerstin Gilg, Tonya Gorman who is paired with artist John Carnes, Jake

Wilson who is paired with artist Scott Minzy, John Ault who is paired with artist Lynn
