The ARTDOGS is organized on the belief that the arts are vital to the cultural and economic health of a community.

ARTDOGS is devoted to developing a core community of artists in downtown Gardiner Maine. The intent is to create and maintain a visual arts presence. 277 Water Street was purchased in June, 2004 for this purpose. The building has been renovated to house one artist's studio-residence and six artist's studios. Renovations continue with the intent of creating a cooperative fine art press and a community workshop space for the arts.

Circling the Square Fine Art Press is exhibiting a dynamic range of original prints by its members. Works include: mezzotints, linocuts, monotypes, collographs, and mixed media prints. Open Saturdays 10-4 and by appointment. 275 Water Street, Gardiner.  582-2108.

Artist's Studio for rent at Artdogs $265. month. This south facing artist's studio is 250'sq. ft. in the artist's community Artdogs. It has wooden floors, large closet storage, high ceiling and bathroom across the hall. The 2nd floor studio is on south side of the renovated four story brick building in historic district of downtown Gardiner overlooking Johnson Park and Cobbossee Stream.
