VARIATIONS III
Artdogs exhibit Variations III will be June 18 - July 14. Featured artists will be Karen Adrienne, Nancy Barron, John Carnes, Kerstin Gilg, Karen Klitgaard, and Scott Minzy.
Opening reception will be held on Sunday June 20 from 4 - 6 PM. The exhibit investigates the ways in which six artists viewed and responded to separate, undisclosed objects that were selected and then exchanged.
*The wonderful 4th floor loft/studio has new Artdogs since June 1st. We are pleased to welcome painter Susan Mathias and artist/cartographer Ken Gross....and Gus their dog. Yes, our first real dog at Artdogs. They have all recently moved to Maine from Cleveland, Ohio. Please help us welcome them to our community.
Artist Studio available beginning July 1st. This is a 250 sq. ft space on the 2nd floor. It has a large south facing window that overlooks Johnson Park, pumpkin pine floors, one exposed brick wall, the others white plaster and a large storage closet all along one end of the studio. Circling the Square Fine Art Press is located on the ground floor of the ARTDOGS building at 275 Water Street Gardiner, Circling the Square fine Art Press is a membership based, open access press where key-holding artists can work independently.

The ARTDOGS is organized on the belief that the arts are vital to the cultural and economic health of a community.
ARTDOGS is devoted to developing a core community of artists in downtown Gardiner Maine. The intent is to create and maintain a visual arts presence. 277 Water Street was purchased in June, 2004 for this purpose. The building has been renovated to house one artist's studio-residence, six artist's studios and a cooperative fine art press and a community workshop space for the arts.

ARTDOGS has been honored with the 2005 Outstanding Creative Contribution Award, given by Gardiner Maine Street.
ARTDOGS has been presented with the 2006 Outstanding New Business Award by the Gardiner Board of Trade.
